What I didn’t know about container gardening could fill a book — and this is the book. Covers basic planting procedures and care so your plants won’t succumb in a matter of weeks like mine always have. Gives info on easiest to care for plants. Many suggestions on which combination of plants work best together.

I read this book cover to cover on the evening I received it. It answered several questions I had about container gardening that were specific to SW Georgia. It also gave me new ideas on planting combinations. I can’t wait to see the results I get.

The book focuses on gardening in the South, lots of beautiful pictures by Florida pools.
I was hoping to learn from this book what plants go well together and what plants to get for my balcony in Wisconsin. Gardening for the city folks with balconies and rooftop terraces.
Lots of pretty pictures of nice pots with plants and a big long list of plants and a rating on how easy they are and their lifespan;
Pamela recommends taking her book to the garden center when picking plants. It’s quite big (twice the size of my ipad…) without discrediting her experience with plants and gardening, I think I would trust just as well the label on the pot in the garden center.
I wish I had read the small print under the EASY Container Gardens title: For anyone who has ever killed a plant.
I keep looking for the book for anyone who wants to enjoy a green and colorful balcony garden north of the Mason Dixon Line.
